What people ask most, and what to do about it.
A step failed. Did I pay for it?
No. The credits come back by themselves. Read the message: it says what went wrong and what did not get done, and it usually tells you the fix.
My job is waiting and nothing is happening
The studio is getting your job ready. The first job after a break can take a few minutes to start. The next ones start faster. The screen tells you how long you have been waiting.
A panel was cut badly
Open the panel and use Crop. If every panel on a page is wrong, check that the page still had its speech bubbles when you ran Split into Panels. Empty bubble holes look like panel boxes. Run it again on the original pages.
A speech bubble was missed
Open the panel and Paint over the bubble. Clean Up Panels then fills it in with the others.
Clean Up put something strange in a hole
This happens most on plain backgrounds. Open the picture and use Gen Fill with a clear instruction (“plain wall, no person”), or use Clone to copy the background from next to the hole. Clone cannot invent anything. See Generative Fill.
A panel is missing in the Art stage
Plan Art marked it as not usable — a border, an empty strip, or a sound effect on a blank background. Open the panel's notes. The reason is there, with one click to bring it back.
The style changes between shots
Those panels were made with different styles or different settings. A panel that does not match the ones around it makes the video animate the change. Run Apply Anime Style again on the whole folder with one style.
My character's jacket changes colour
Plan Video sets the colours and the light for the whole film at once — but only if you run it on the whole Fit to Frame folder. Run it again on the folder, not on a few files.
The shot melts instead of cutting
One clip is one continuous take. It cannot cut to a new place. Split that shot into two shots on the storyboard.
A shot came out wrong
Open the clip, say what is wrong, and click Fix this shot. The new clip takes its place, and you can go back one step.
A line is too long for its shot
Plan Sound tells you which lines do not fit. Make the shot longer on the storyboard and make that clip again. Do not speed the line up.
One line was read badly
Open that line and say it again. Each line is its own file, so nothing else changes.
A character sounds different in each line
Run Design Voices, or upload a short sample for that character. After that, every line is made from the same voice sample and they all match. See Sound.
My render does not have my newest shot
It does, if you run it again. The cut, the mix and the render are made new each time from the files you have now. Run Render & Export again.
It says this project is nearly full, or full
A project holds one film, not a library. Go to the Deliver stage, download your film — and the whole project as a zip if you want every file — then start a new project and carry on there. Nothing you already made is lost or changed, and you can still open, play and download everything in the full project.
It says I cannot make another project
Every plan allows a number of projects at once: 2 with no plan, 6 on Starter, 20 on Creator, 60 on Studio. Open one you have finished, download what you want to keep from Deliver, and delete it. The space is free again straight away. See Plans & credits.
I ran out of credits in the middle of a chapter
The step that could not run cost you nothing. Wait for your monthly credits or buy extra credits, which never run out of time. See Plans & credits.
I deleted my account by mistake
Sign in again with the same email and password. If it is less than 15 days since you pressed Delete my account, the deletion stops and everything is where you left it. After 15 days the account and its files are gone for good. See Account & privacy.
A job failed
Read the message on the job. It says one of three things:
- It could not start right now. Wait a few minutes and run it again.
- Something in what you gave it. The message says what. Fix that and run it again.
- It broke on our side. Run it again. If it fails again, send us the job number.
Every failed job has a number, like Job #1234. Nothing you made before is lost when a job fails.
