FAQ & troubleshooting

The things people ask, and what to do about them.

A step failed. Was I charged?

No. Credits for a failed run are returned automatically. The failure message says what was wrong and what the job did not do — read it before re-running; it usually names the fix.

“Requesting GPU” has been sitting for a while

A card is usually allocated in seconds; the minutes after that are the card pulling the studio's worker image. The message counts the wait and says how long it may take. A cold start can run to several minutes; consecutive steps share the warm card and skip it. If a region has no card available at your plan's rate, the job says so and is queued rather than failed.

Split into Panels cut a panel wrong

Open the panel and use Crop. If it happens across a whole page, check that the page you ran it on still had its bubbles: erased bubbles leave rectangles the detector mistakes for borders. Run Split on the original pages.

Find Speech Bubbles missed one

Open the panel and Paint over the balloon; the stroke knocks it out. Clean Up Panels fills it with the rest.

Clean Up filled a hole with something strange

Both fill models invent when asked to fill plain background. Open the plate: Gen Fill with an instruction (“plain wall, no figure”), or Clone the background from beside the hole — no model, no imagination. See Generative Fill.

A panel is missing from Art

Plan Art marked it not animatable — a border, a gutter, a sound effect on blank ground. Open the panel's insights; the reason is beside a one-click overrule.

The style changes between shots

Panels were styled with different styles or settings. A panel styled unlike its neighbours becomes a keyframe, and the video model animates the change. Re-run Apply Anime Style on the whole folder with one style.

My character's jacket changes colour

Plan Video fixes the cast, palette and lighting once for the film — but only if it ran on the whole Fit to Frame folder at once. Re-run it on the folder, not on a selection.

The shot morphs instead of cutting

One clip is one continuous take; the model cannot cut. A shot whose direction asks for a scene change gets a morph. Split it into two shots on the storyboard.

A shot came out wrong

Open the clip, describe what is wrong, Fix this shot. The new take replaces the old one in place; undo is one step back.

A line does not fit its shot

Plan Sound flags it. Lengthen the shot on the storyboard and regenerate it, rather than rushing the line. A reading speed is slack, not a fix.

One line was read badly

Open that line's file and re-say it. One file per line is the point.

The render does not have my latest shot

It does — the cut, mix and render are laid fresh from the current clips each time you run them. Run Render & Export again.

I ran out of credits mid-chapter

Nothing was charged for the blocked step. Wait for the monthly reset or buy a top-up; top-ups never expire. See Plans & credits.

Still stuck

Write to us with the project name and the job's failure message; a screenshot helps.
