Video

Cut a film out of the finished plates: plan the shots against the story, then generate them. This is where most of a chapter's credits go, so the plan comes first.

Plan Video AI

Run it on the Fit to Frame folder, in reading order. It is the only step that reads every plate at once, which is what lets it do what no per-panel step can:

  • Decide which panels are worth a shot, and drop the rest with a reason.
  • Group consecutive panels that are one continuous moment into a single shot, so a swing and its landing stop being two clips of the same pose. Every panel in the group is handed to the video model as reference art.
  • Fix the film's lighting, palette and cast descriptions once, which is what stops a jacket changing colour between cuts.
  • Size each shot to the line spoken over it, where you wrote a script, and mark the shots that show a character speaking.

Everything it decides lands on the Storyboard tab, where you can edit any shot's direction before generating.

Generate Video GPU

Renders the shots the storyboard describes — one clip each, not one per panel. A shot built from three panels is one clip; a dropped panel is none. The video model (MiniMax H3) takes your plate pinned as the first frame, so the shot starts exactly on your art, and every plate in the shot as reference; the shot's written direction does the rest, including the gutter, the action the comic never drew between one panel and the next.

Clips are 1344×768. Allow real time for anything that has to travel — around 5 seconds for a held moment, 10 when the action crosses a gap. One clip is one continuous take: the model cannot cut, so a shot that asks for a scene change gets a morph instead. Plan two shots.

Try three shots first. Run Generate Video on a sample of the storyboard, watch the clips, and only then run the rest. About three GPU minutes a shot.

Fixing a shot

Open a clip in the clip editor, describe what is wrong, and Fix this shot. It re-renders that shot with your note and replaces the clip in place, undoable — rather than piling a second take beside the first and leaving the cut to guess which is current. You can also trim the head and tail of a clip by hand.

No plan, no script

Generate Video runs without either. Then it is simply a video generator: give it a prompt, some reference art, or both. Useful for a single shot, a style test, or a clip you need in ten minutes.
