Read the pages as a story, then write the one script the film is made from — a narration or a dialogue, both as a cued .srt.

Why Story sits before Video

The script is what tells the Video stage how to group panels into shots, how long a shot runs, and whether a character is speaking in it. Going straight from Art to Video leaves that planning with nothing to read. Story is also the cheapest stage to change your mind in, which is why it comes before the expensive one.

You can still skip it. Video then works from the artwork alone and makes a film with no one talking over it.

Plan Story AI

Run it on your imported pages — the originals, not the cut panels. Panels are art; the story lives on the page, where the reading order and the whole moment are. It writes one story analysis per page: what the page does for the story, and every line said on it with a description of who says it.

It describes speakers rather than naming them — “blue jacket, brown hair, grinning” — because only the picture shows which figure a balloon points at, and a description survives the Art stage where a name the comic never printed does not. It also writes the beats that tell the Video stage which artwork a line plays over and how long the shot should run.

Write Script AI

Arranges what Plan Story read into one file. Always an .srt: a narration has to land on the picture exactly as dialogue does, so both are cued. The style is the choice:

Narration

One voice, no speaker on any cue. A storyteller over the pictures.

Dialogue

The characters speak. Each cue names who, by describing them, and Plan Sound casts a voice per character from that.

Switch a finished script between the two in the editor without touching its timings. With nothing analysed it writes from your prompt; with no prompt either it hands you an outline — a real, timed script with invented characters to write over.

Mark the video script

A project can hold several scripts. Mark one as the video script and the rest of the film — the shot plan, the voice cast, the subtitles — is planned against it.

Open any script in the script editor: cues you can rewrite, retime, reorder, and switch between narration and dialogue. See Editors & canvas tools. You can also import an .srt you wrote elsewhere.
