Projects
A project is one film: its pages, everything made from them, and the notes the planning passes wrote. Everything you do happens inside one.
Creating a project
From Projects, give the project a name. The name becomes its address — /project/your-name/source — and each stage has its own page under it. You can rename a project later; the address is kept.
What lives inside
Every file in a project has a kind — image, text, video or audio — and belongs to a folder. Folders are made for you: imports land in an Imported folder for their kind, and every run of a step files its outputs in a folder named for that step and run. The stage pages show only the folders that belong to them, so Source shows pages and panels, Art shows plates, and so on.
A file also carries its insights — the notes a planning pass wrote about it — and its edit history, one row per change you made by hand, which you can walk back.
Importing
Drop files on the Source page, or use Import comic pages. Accepted:
- Images —
.png .jpg .jpeg .webp .gif .bmp .avif - Comic archives —
.cbzand.zip, expanded into one page per image inside - Scripts and notes —
.srt .vtt .txt .md .json - Video —
.mp4 .webm .mov .m4v - Audio —
.mp3 .wav .m4a
Pages keep the order you imported them in, which is the reading order every later step uses. Uploads are limited to 100 MB per file.
Cloning
A project can be cloned — pages, folders, files and notes — to try a second style, a different script or a different cut without touching the original.
Exporting
From Deliver, export the finished film on its own, the current stage's outputs, or the whole project as a zip with a manifest listing every file and the step that made it. See Deliver.
Deleting
Deleting a project removes its files and notes. There is no recycle bin, so export first if you might want it back.
